Job Description
As a Software Engineer Test for Rockwell Automation, you will develop FactoryTalk® Optix™ - a new visualization platform that accelerates value delivery with modern technologies, designs and scalable deployment options. FactoryTalk® Optix™ can help improve process, efficiency and deliverables – in one easy to access tool and take advantage of new levels of collaboration, scalability and interoperability to achieve modern HMI vision. You will perform software testing tasks including test design, development, planning, scheduling, and execution.
Assignments include participation in requirements development, architectural design, coding and testing in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
You will include collaboration with multiple global teams and requires and in the large project teams.

FactoryTalk® Optix™ team is a part of the Software and Control organization that designs and develops Logix controllers, network modules, operator interfaces and Visualization Software. Technology stack, practices and methodologies we use: C++, Qt, .NET, C#, Python, Squish, Git, Jenkins, Jira, qTest, Continuous Delivery, Scrum, SAFe.
You will report to the Manager located in Poland and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.
Your Responsibilities:
- Complete multi-level software testing activities, including test design, planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Develop automated tests in Python, Squish
- Design, creating, executing and maintaining tests
- Participate in reviews of documents, designs, test cases
- Monitor automated tests results and report software defects
- Develop test documentation required by software development process
- Make sure that team's automated tests have appropriate coverage and are developed in time and scope to verify quality of added and changed product functions
- Support team's CI environment and approach by maintaining tests up to date, completing them frequently and reporting results to agreed partners
- Supporting the team in functional and system requirements analysis required to design and verify added and changed functionality
- Monitor and evaluate testing process adopted by the team and report any inefficiencies to agreed partners
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent education
- Demonstrated experience on tester position
- Apply Python programming language
- Windows and Linux operating systems experience
- 3+ years of experience in virtualization (VMWare)
- Agile software development using Scrum
- Communicative English that enables collaboration with global team
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Direct experience with the Industrial Automation Industry
- Experience architecting modular software
- Experience with scaling and performance technologies
- Experience with automated test tools
- Experience testing integrated software products
- Experience collaborating with local and global technical development teams
