Job Description

The Technology Consultant is a technical resource for Rockwell Automation technology and products within their area(s) of expertise, able to explain capability and benefits of portfolio to customers. Deliver proof of concept, after sales support, and is a trusted advisor to the sales organization and channel.

They are responsible for technical support in pre-sales activities for a specific range of products within a defined geography. The Technology Consultant will be the technical product expert within the sales organization for customer pursuits. The Technology Consultant will expand Distributor Specialist capability in areas lacking coverage.

You will report to hiring manager based in Singapore.

Main Responsibilities:

• You will Be the technical product expert and focal point in the region/country for the product range
• You will Facilitate or provide product-based training to the sales team and channel.
• Co-operate with the sales team in promoting the product range to our customers with presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, performance tests or similar activities.
• You will Define and explain product differentiators and values versus competition.
• Analyze products, have knowledge of competitor's strategy, further define competitive differentiators.
• Participate in trade shows, seminars or similar marketing activities, offering demonstrations and product expertise with customers where needed
• You will Support market access (Distributor and Systems Integrators) to ensure their capability in expressing the value and demonstration of RA product or technologies
• Assist Business Lead/ Manager in launch of new products to the sales team and channel.
• You will Validate and resolve compatibility issues of products within architectural solutions and provide guidance to customers/sales team.
• You will Seek out and participate in both training opportunities to develop technical skills.
• You will Update customers on new products and technology as related to customer's industry and application needs.
• You will Provide product gap and development feedback to appropriate your department.
• You will Communicate with Tech Support on post sales product issues.
• You will Focus on opportunities that support Rockwell Automation's strategy.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical related field or equivalent.
• You have Technical and Application expertise, and related demonstrated sales experience.
• Fluency with native language and command of English (Both written and spoken).
• You will Work with and gain confidence personnel (internal and external) in a collaborative, matrixed team member organization.
• Have good experience in Automation product and Software
• Must have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in programming .
