Job Description

Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to acquire inventory. Acquires and maintains technical understanding of products purchased. Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities. Obtain materials, components, equipment and services. Develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. Monitor the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure highest quality at best value. May recommend cost-saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria.

You will report to the VVVVand have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage commodity strategies; evaluate and select suppliers, including global opportunities, negotiation of supply agreements, and rationalization of the supply base.
• Improve the supply base to support our goals.
• Participate learning and professional development activities, while developing actions to achieve commodity goals delivery performance, lead time reduction, productivity, and quality.
• Develop Global Standard Work with purchasing team.
• Provide support to Sourcing & Commodity Teams, Customer Service Delivery Team, plants and repair facilities, Suppliers, and Customers.
• Prepare/handle RFQs for commodities and customer projects.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Evaluate existing and potential suppliers based on the principles of Total Cost of Ownership and ensure acquisitions of product or service requirements from known sources of supply.
• Ethically represent Rockwell Automation when working with other companies. This representation includes conducting meetings and presentations with supplier and Rockwell Automation personnel. It also involves selecting appropriate sources, communicating material specifications, and pricing. Additionally, it encompasses establishing delivery commitments, resolving quality problems, and communicating industry trends and technological innovations. Furthermore, it includes resolving disputed legal and financial issues.
• Develop specific goals to support Purchasing's departmental goals. Establish personal growth goals to support you and Rockwell Automation. Report periodic progress toward those goals to the purchasing supervisor.
• Edit and process purchase requisitions working with appropriate departments to clarify specifications and requirements. Use SAP and other enterprise systems and programs to issue purchase orders, collect and analyze data.
• Coordinate activities with other departments (including IT, M&A, Contract support, Technology AI support) to achieve maximum customer service levels.
• Participate in and support the coordinated purchase agreement programs with the Rockwell Strategic Sourcing organization.
• Aid in the development of new computer systems/capabilities to support overall productivity improvement efforts and management reporting.
• Ensure familiarity with procedures relating to the purchasing department and standards of business conduct.
• Conduct tasks following applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations. These regulations include state/federal laws, ISO 9001, ISO 14000. Additionally, you will conduct tasks following Rockwell/Rockwell Automation procedures.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• 5 years of experience sourcing facilities management, utilities, or workplace‑related services.
• Experience supplier negotiations, cost optimization, and service improvement projects.
• Problem‑solve, and project management skills.
• We prefer SAP experience.
• Knowledge of sustainability, energy management, or facilities operations
