AI Enablement InternLocation: Singapore, Singapore (Hybrid) Duration: 3–6 months Department: Operations

Position Description

As a AI Enablement Intern, you will support Pluang's Operations team in turning raw data into actionable intelligence — helping teams make faster, better-informed decisions through dashboards, analysis, and AI-assisted reporting tools. You will work closely with operations, product, and strategy stakeholders to surface insights that directly shape how the business runs day-to-day.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who is excited about the intersection of data and AI — not just pulling numbers, but helping build the next generation of intelligent analytics workflows that reduce manual reporting and bring decision-relevant information to the right people at the right time.

What You Will Be Doing

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that give operations and business teams clear visibility into key metrics and performance trends

  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities across operational, product, and financial datasets

  • Support the design and documentation of metric definitions, ensuring consistency in how the business measures and interprets data

  • Assist in automating recurring reporting workflows to reduce manual effort across teams

AI-Assisted Analytics

  • Support the development and testing of AI-powered analytics tools, including LLM-assisted querying, automated insight generation, and natural language reporting interfaces

  • Help evaluate and improve the quality of AI-generated outputs — assessing accuracy, consistency, and relevance against business requirements

  • Contribute to prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks for data-focused AI tools used by non-technical stakeholders

  • Research and document emerging AI tools and techniques relevant to analytics and business intelligence in fintech

Data Quality & Enablement

  • Assist in data validation and reconciliation tasks, helping ensure the accuracy and reliability of data used in decision-making

  • Support documentation of data sources, pipelines, and transformation logic to improve data literacy across the organisation

  • Collaborate with analysts and operations teams to understand their data needs and translate them into clearly scoped analysis tasks

What You Need to Be Successful

Required

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field

  • Comfortable with SQL for querying and analysing data across relational databases or cloud data warehouses

  • Familiar with data visualisation tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Metabase, or similar) or Python/R libraries for analysis and charting

  • Curious about AI — familiar with LLMs and excited about how AI can change the way people work with data

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Proactive and comfortable working independently on ambiguous problems

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) or prompt engineering in any context

  • Familiarity with Python (pandas, matplotlib, or similar) for data analysis

  • Experience with dbt, BigQuery, or other cloud data tools

  • Exposure to fintech, financial products, or regulated industries

  • Bahasa Indonesia proficiency for cross-team collaboration

What You'll Get

  • Hands-on experience building analytics tools used by real operational teams

  • Direct mentorship from data and AI strategy leads at a fast-growing Series B fintech

  • Exposure to how AI is being embedded into business intelligence and decision-making at scale

  • Competitive internship allowance

  • Potential for a return offer based on performance
