Role Overview
We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager — Platform based in Gurgaon to build and scale core platform capabilities that power investing and trading across Pluang. This role sits at the center of the product surface area—spanning core trading experience, onboarding/KYC, platform reliability, and high-impact product capabilities that can move key metrics across asset classes.
While priorities can evolve in a startup, a meaningful part of this role will involve improving and scaling trading tools that help users make better decisions and trade with more confidence—such as Trading Signals, Screeners, AI Trading Insights (Aura), Auto Invest, and strategy-driven experiences.
What You Will Do
1. Own platform roadmap across core user journeys and foundational systems
Define and execute roadmap initiatives that improve core journeys such as onboarding/KYC, discoverability, trading flows, and portfolio experiences.
Build scalable platform capabilities that can be reused across asset classes and product lines.
Partner with Engineering to deliver high-quality systems that are reliable, secure, and extensible.
2. Build and evolve trading tools that drive user engagement and confidence
Ship and iterate on trading tools such as Signals, Screeners, Alerts, AI insights (Aura), Auto Invest, and Trading Strategies.
Improve discovery and adoption of these tools across key surfaces (Explore, Asset Detail, Trade page, Portfolio).
Ensure tools are trustworthy and explainable—especially for AI-driven insights—through clear UX, disclosures, evaluation, and monitoring.
3. Drive onboarding optimization and reduce friction while preserving risk and compliance standards
Streamline onboarding/KYC flows to improve completion rates and speed-to-trade while maintaining security and compliance.
Partner with Risk/Compliance to design controls that scale, including automated approvals, step-up authentication, and exception handling.
Improve instrumentation and diagnosis of onboarding drop-offs to drive measurable lift.
4. Use data and experimentation to drive measurable outcomes
Establish and monitor key platform metrics (conversion, retention, feature adoption, reliability metrics).
Run structured experiments and iterative launches; ensure learnings are captured and scaled.
Work with Analytics/Data to improve dashboards, event hygiene, and funnel visibility.
5. Lead cross-functional execution end-to-end
Translate strategy into PRDs, user stories, and launch plans; manage dependencies across teams.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Compliance, and Marketing to ensure strong execution.
Maintain a high quality bar across delivery, operational readiness, and post-launch iteration.
What You Will Need Qualifications
- 4+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in fintech, trading platforms, consumer internet, or financial services.
- Proven track record shipping high-impact features with measurable results.
- Experience working in regulated or high-trust environments is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong execution and product judgment: clear problem framing, crisp requirements, thoughtful prioritization.
- Strong analytical ability: funnel analysis, cohort thinking, and experimentation rigor.
- Ability to work effectively with Engineering on complex systems (APIs, reliability, performance, instrumentation).
- Comfort building AI-enabled product experiences responsibly (evaluation, monitoring, guardrails, explainability)—no ML engineering background required.
Mindset
- Ownership-driven, outcome-oriented, and comfortable operating in ambiguity.
- High bar for reliability and trust—especially for trading decisions and user funds.
- Curious, adaptable, and willing to iterate quickly while maintaining quality.
