Why we’re looking for you 😎

We’re looking for an IT Specialist (US) to join our growing team and support our US offices and global. As part of the IT organization, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth Technical Operations, supporting local and remote employees, and maintaining our hardware and infrastructure standards. This role will be the face of IT for our US employees - helping them onboard seamlessly, stay productive, and feel supported across all their technology needs.

You’ll be hands-on with user support, IT procurement, endpoint provisioning, device lifecycle management and SaaS application support. Overseeing local infrastructure, managing onsite tech operations, and representing IT for the US region as our team expands.

What you’ll do 💼

  • Provide day-to-day best in class IT support for Boston-based employees and remote US staff, as well as timezone coverage for worldwide employees.
  • Manage US and remote procurement and asset management - forecast needs, work with suppliers, place orders and make sure all new hires are set on time.
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding processes - including account provisioning, hardware setup, and access management.
  • Manage endpoint configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle, ensuring compliance with company security and configuration standards.
  • Support corporate applications (Google Workspace, Jumpcloud, Zoom, Slack, Jira, Notion, etc.) and help troubleshoot access and integration issues.
  • Serve as the onsite lead for IT-related operations for Port’s North America sites (might require travel), coordinating vendor visits, hardware deliveries, office network maintenance and assist with new offices openings
  • Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards, including SOC2 controls.
  • Assist with network installation and administration on current and new offices
  • Use AI tools actively in your daily work to move faster, write documentation, and reduce repetitive effort, bring forward ideas for where AI can automate or improve IT workflows.

Who you’ll work with 👯‍♀️

You’ll report directly to the Director of IT and collaborate closely with IT peers in other regions, Security, HR, and Facilities. You’ll be the key IT point of contact for our North America - based employees, providing exceptional support and representing IT within the local office.

Requirements

What we’re looking for 📝

  • 4+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, and endpoint management in tech companies.
  • Strong knowledge of macOS and Windows environments, device management tools (JumpCloud, Jamf, Intune, or similar), and identity systems (Jumpcloud, Okta, Google Workspace or similar).
  • Experience supporting SaaS business applications such as Slack, Zoom, Atlassian, and Notion.
  • Understanding of IT security best practices and compliance-oriented environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Hungry to learn and grow with the ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have (Advantages) 🌟

  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., N8N, or scripting in Python/Bash).
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, SOC2, or ISO 27001 compliance frameworks.
  • Previous experience in a high-growth SaaS or startup environment.
  • Network administration or infrastructure experience (i.e. Meraki).
