Senior C++ Application Engineer - Remote in EU

About Us:

Prezi is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer for its Engine Team. The ideal candidate will have strong C++ knowledge and an understanding of system design and architecture for developing applications across various platforms. Prezi's portfolio includes Prezi Present, Prezi Design, and Prezi Video. In this role, you will work on developing the Engine layer of Prezi Present and Prezi Video — our flagship presentation products — and enhance user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C++ applications across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies, and proactively apply them.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development with C++.
• Proven experience in system design and architecture.
• Strong understanding of build systems (e.g., CMake, Makefile, Gradle).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication in English and collaboration skills.
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Bonus if you have:

• Familiarity with other programming languages such as Typescript, Python, Java, or C#.
• Experience in computer graphics, and game engines.
• Experience with technical documentation.
• Experience with agile methodologies and practices.
