What this job can offer you

This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Specialist in our Onboarding Operations team, joining our Onboarding & Mobility team.

As an empathetic, client-oriented problem-solver, the Onboarding Operations, Specialist will be responsible for navigating the onboarding process with both internal and external employees across geographies.

You will be reporting to the Manager, Onboarding Operations.

What you bring

  • Multiple years of working in an operations function (people operations experience is an advantage).
  • Experience working with employment contracts, and/or other types of legally-binding contracts in the people space
  • Experience working in a fast paced, cross functional environment, ideally within a startup company.
  • Excited by the constant change and growth working in a startup company brings.
  • Team player, ready to support colleagues when needed while having a strong sense of ownership, comfortable working independently, asks for help when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the onboarding of new employees (external to Remote) from a documentation and compliance perspective, including document verification, preparation of the Employment Package, and fielding employee queries.
  • Own the employee onboarding process, from start to finish, executing operational requirements to enable employment of these external employments
  • Work cross-functionally with our other key operational teams including Mobility, Benefits and Payroll to ensure a smooth client and employee experience.
  • Continuously identify and implement ways to improve the onboarding experience.
  • Manage employee data and serve as subject matter expert on our product, ensuring information is current, secure and confidentiality is maintained.
  • Support reporting, audit, compliance, and data integrity initiatives.
  • Identify automation opportunities within onboarding processes.

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.

The base salary range for this full-time position is 23,350 to 52,550 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
