Position
Riverbed is seeking an HRIS Developer to support and enhance U.S. benefits administration and HR integrations, with a primary focus on Workday. This role will be part of the IT Customer Experience / HRIS function and will work closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and IT Delivery teams to ensure stable operations, timely issue resolution, and successful delivery of enhancements and projects related to U.S. benefits.
The HRIS Developer will be responsible for production support, integrations, and minor enhancements across Workday modules and boundary systems that support U.S. benefits administration. This individual will manage incidents and enhancement requests through Jira and the IT service desk, collaborate with global offshore resources, and participate in project delivery under the direction of the Riverbed IT Delivery Manager.

Location : Bangalore, India (Required min 3 hours of daily overlap with U.S. business hours)
What you will do
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and support the Workday application and related integrations, with a primary focus on U.S. benefits administration
- Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests related to Workday HR and benefits processes
- Design, develop, test, and deploy bug fixes and minor enhancements as directed by the Riverbed IT Delivery Manager
- Support and enhance inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and third-party vendors (e.g., benefits providers, payroll, and related boundary systems)
- Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Payroll, and application services teams to understand upcoming changes and new functionality
- Capture functional requirements as Jira tickets and contribute to technical design documentation
- Perform testing and validation activities and document results within Jira
- Publish release notes, feature documentation, and transition materials in Confluence
- Manage and track a queue of tickets including prioritization and assignment when required
- Ensure production stability, timely communication, and adherence to service levels
What makes you an ideal candidate
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience supporting and developing within Workday or a comparable enterprise HRIS platform
- Strong experience supporting U.S. benefits administration processes within Workday
- Experience developing and supporting HR integrations including vendor and payroll integrations
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile delivery practices
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Technical Skills Required
- Workday integration technologies: EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST)
- Data formats and transformation: XML, XSD, XSLT, JSON, CSV, fixed-width files
- Programming and scripting: Java, Python, or similar languages used in integration development
- Secure data transfer: SFTP, encryption concepts, integration security and authentication
- Development practices: testing methodologies, error handling, logging, root-cause analysis
