Position
Riverbed is seeking a HRIS Systems Manager to lead the administration, strategy, and evolution of its global HR technology landscape, with a primary focus on Workday HCM. This role will be part of the IT Customer Experience / HRIS function and will partner closely with Global HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Excellence, and IT Delivery teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and employee‑centric HR systems.
This is a hands‑on manager role responsible for both day‑to‑day Workday administration and long‑term HRIS systems strategy. The HRIS Systems Manager will lead system enhancements, manage HR systems migrations, and support global HR operations while maintaining strong governance and operational excellence.

What you will do
- Provide hands‑on administration and production support for Workday HCM, including business processes, workflow, security, configuration, and data integrity
- Lead Workday release management, testing, documentation, and deployment of new functionality
- Prepare Workday for annual, semi annual reporting
- Define and execute the HRIS systems strategy and roadmap in alignment with global HR and business priorities
- Partner with Global HR Business Partners to translate business requirements into scalable HR technology solutions
- Lead HR systems migrations and major HRIS initiatives including planning, data migration, testing, and cutover
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and external vendors to deliver enhancements, integrations, and process improvements
- Ensure compliance, audit readiness, and data accuracy across HR systems
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to HRIS team members and project participants
- Manage HRIS vendors and implementation partners, including scope, deliverables, and performance
- Planning, vendor analysis and strategy for HR systems migration
- Ensure timely communication, documentation, and adherence to service levels
What makes you an ideal candidate
- 8+ years of hands‑on experience administering Workday HCM or a comparable enterprise HRIS platform, experience as Workday administrator
- Demonstrated experience leading HR systems migrations or large‑scale HRIS transformations
- Strong understanding of global HR business processes including Core HR, Compensation, Talent, and Security
- Experience managing inbound request system (Service Now, Freshservice, IT ticketing) and managing enhancement request queue (Atlassian Jira, Service Requests) and managing task through change control
- Experience partnering with Global HR Business Partner teams across multiple regions
- Hands‑on manager comfortable balancing execution with strategic ownership; 2+ years of people management experience preferred
- Ability to work a schedule that includes partial overlap with U.S. Pacific Time (PST)
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with focus on PII security

- Reporting to the Bangalore office in India
- Requires 3-4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Pacific Time (PST)
