About the Role
We are looking for a sharp and detail-oriented Product Manager to own the Loan Management System (LMS) at Rupeek. You will sit at the intersection of finance, technology, and operations — designing lending products, driving accurate loan calculations, and ensuring seamless collaboration between business, finance, and engineering teams.
Job Title: Associate Product Manager - LMS
Education: B.Tech / B.E., B.Com, MBA (Finance), or CA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institution.
Experience: 1–3 Years of relevant experience
Location: Bangalore
Key Responsibilities:
● Design and ship financial products — Partner with the category team to conceptualize, scope, and drive implementation of new lending products and product configurations end-to-end.
● Finance collaboration — Work closely with the finance team for reconciliation, issue resolution, and accurate financial reporting; validate loan computations, interest schedules, and edge cases.
● Tech partnership — Engage with engineering to understand system architecture — APIs,
microservices, and batch jobs — translate requirements into clear specs, and drive sprint prioritization and delivery timelines.
● Issue triage and resolution — Identify, investigate, and resolve LMS issues — includin calculation discrepancies, data mismatches, and system errors — in a structured and timely manner.
● Stakeholder communication — Maintain clear and consistent communication across category, finance, operations, and tech; manage competing priorities with transparency.
Skills:
● Strong numeracy — Ability to independently calculate and verify loan figures: EMIs, interest accruals, prepayment computations, and penalty charges. Comfortable catching errors in financial logic.
● Data analysis skills — Proficiency in SQL or Excel/Sheets for querying data, building dashboards, and deriving insights to support product and business decisions.
● Basic technical understanding — Familiarity with REST APIs, services, and batch processing systems; ability to read tech documentation, raise precise bug tickets, and participate in technical discussions.
● Stakeholder management — Demonstrated ability to align cross-functional teams, manage expectations, and drive outcomes without direct authority.
Good to have skills:
● Prior experience in a fintech or lending company, especially in a product or business analyst role.
● Working knowledge of financial accounting principles — P&L, balance sheet, accruals, and
reconciliation.
● Hands-on experience with a Loan Management System (any vendor or in-house).
