About the Role:

We are looking for a highly analytical and strategic Director/ Senior Director- Category to lead our gold loan product vertical. This role is critical in driving product strategy, improving customer experience, managing cross-functional initiatives, and supporting business growth through data-driven decision-making.

You will work closely with leadership, product, technology, operations, risk, and marketing teams to shape the future of gold loan offerings and optimize the overall customer journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Ownership: Lead the gold loan product category—owning P&L, customer journey, funnel optimization, and product innovations.
  • Strategy & Planning: Identify growth opportunities, create business plans, and implement GTM strategies for new offerings or regions.
  • Business Analysis: Use quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, assess performance, and recommend actionable insights.
  • Data Visualization & BI: Build dashboards, reports, and visualization tools using platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or similar to track KPIs and present insights to leadership.
  • Program Management: Drive cross-functional projects with product, tech, operations, and marketing teams, ensuring timely delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct competitive benchmarking, customer research, and regulatory analysis to stay ahead in the gold loan market.
  • Customer-Centric Solutions: Constantly optimize the user experience by mapping the journey, identifying friction points, and recommending improvements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment across functions.

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in product management, category management, or program management roles.
  • Proven experience in a fintech, BFSI , or lending environment.
  • Strong background in business analysis, data visualization, and business intelligence tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong academic background from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institution.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of financial services regulations related to lending.
  • Experience in agile project management or product lifecycle development.
  • Exposure to rural or semi-urban lending segments is an added advantage.
