Job Title: Electrical System Engineer – Aerospace
Location: Bengaluru
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical System Engineer with expertise in Siemens Capital (formerly Mentor Graphics Capital) to support the design, development, and integration of electrical systems for next-generation aerospace platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver wiring harness designs, schematics, and digital thread deliverables using Siemens Capital tools.
Key Responsibilities:
• Use Siemens Capital tools (Capital Logic, Capital Harness, Capital Systems, etc.) to design and document electrical wiring systems for aerospace platforms.
• Develop and manage electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, form boards, and bill of materials (BOM).
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to ensure electrical designs meet aerospace standards and integration requirements.
• Implement and maintain digital continuity from electrical system architecture through harness manufacturing using Capital's model-based development environment.
• Create and manage component libraries, netlists, and connectivity databases.
• Support change management, configuration control, and system updates throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards such as DO-160, ARINC, and RTCA guidelines.
• Drive automation and optimization of design processes leveraging Capital’s scripting and API capabilities where applicable.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience with Siemens Capital
• Strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems, wiring harness design, and avionics integration.
• Experience working in compliance with aerospace standards and certification processes.
• Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcenter) and CAD/CAE integration with NX.
• Ability to read and interpret aerospace wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Familiarity with ARINC 429, CAN Bus, or MIL-STD-1553 protocols.
• Exposure to manufacturing processes for wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies.
• Knowledge of scripting in Python or VBA for Capital tool automation.
