AI-Native Full Stack Developer

About the Role
We're looking for a full stack developer who doesn't just write code the traditional way — you use AI to ship faster, think bigger, and build things that would normally take a full team.
To be clear: this role isn't about building software for the aircraft. You'll be building the software that powers how we work — internal tools, operations platforms, and products that help us move fast as a company. You'll also get to explore interesting projects that imagine what air mobility in India could look like — the kind of work that's hard to define but exciting to figure out.
At Sarla Aviation, you'll own development end-to-end. This is not a support role, you'll be a core builder shaping how our technology stack comes together.
What You'll Do
- Build and ship full stack applications primarily in Next.js (React, TypeScript, Node.js)
- Use AI-powered coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) as a daily force multiplier — not a crutch, but a superpower
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, Amplify, or similar)
- Integrate APIs, build MCP servers, and connect AI agents into production workflows
- Set up CI/CD pipelines, manage databases, and handle DevOps responsibilities as needed
- Collaborate directly with leadership to translate business needs into working software quickly
- Own projects from idea to production — architecture, development, deployment, and iteration
Must-Haves
- 2+ years of hands-on software development experience (you've shipped real products, not just tutorials)
- Strong fundamentals in at least one backend language/framework — Node.js, Python, or similar
- Working experience with Next.js or React-based full stack development
- Comfort with AWS services — you can spin up infrastructure, configure services, and troubleshoot without hand-holding
- Active, demonstrable usage of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, v0, Bolt, Replit Agent, etc.)
- Understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and how to build/integrate tool-use workflows
- Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), and basic DevOps
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience building AI-native applications or working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- Familiarity with other frameworks — Python (FastAPI/Django), Go, Rust
- Experience with real-time systems, WebSockets, or event-driven architecture
- Prior work in aerospace, deeptech, or fast-moving startups
- Contributions to open-source projects or a visible public portfolio / GitHub
What Sets You Apart
You don't just prompt AI and paste outputs. You understand what the AI generates, you can debug it, refactor it, and architect systems around it. You've been coding long enough to know what good software looks like and now you use AI to build it 5x faster.
You're pragmatic, fast, and product-minded. You care more about shipping the right thing than writing the perfect abstraction.
