The Public Sector Strategist is responsible for growing the International Public Sector business unit and partnering with technical stakeholders to identify and win major opportunities in Public Sector accounts across EMEA. You will develop and execute on a strategy for customer acquisition, navigating a dynamic and often unstructured environment to make impactful decisions. This is a highly technical role that requires the following:

  • A deep understanding of AI and data and the ability to articulate technical concepts in simple, precise language
  • Experience successfully navigating governments and senior stakeholders across EMEA
  • Working cross-functionally with Scale Leadership, Product, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Compliance to ensure customer success
  • Ability to earn trust and develop close relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within accounts
  • Ability to build business cases to show the impact and value of the custom LLMs Scale will build

You will:

  • Work closely with Scale’s Managing Director, the Head of Growth, Head of EMEA and GM of International Public Sector on the overall revenue strategy across EMEA Public Sector
  • Be responsible for mapping AI use cases to platform and consumption revenue across public sector accounts
  • Be responsible for demonstrating value and impact associated with each Public Sector use case
  • Orchestrate and work with teams cross-functionally to maximise the impact on your book of business
  • Build value with all engagements to promote successful negotiations to close, partnering with the global sales organisation
  • Drive high degrees of client satisfaction as demonstrated through continued partnership and growth
  • Build trust and credibility with clients, acting as a reliable AI advisor beyond the core operating capacity of projects

Ideally, you’d have:

  • 5+ years of public sector sales experience, and/or sales experience in complex environments
  • Experience defining requirements and building strategies to effectively scale revenue through early product development
  • A track record of personally selling and closing complex solutions to public sector accounts in the deal size of $500K to $5M +
  • 2+ years of experience selling deeply technical products to technical audiences (ML engineers, data scientists, data engineers)
  • Experience selling both to business and technical audiences simultaneously
  • Demonstrated success by achieving quota on a consistent basis
  • UK Security Check (SC) clearance, Developed Vetting (DV) is a plus
  • Passion for what you do and the creativity and willingness to think outside of the box
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong consultative relationships with external partners and internal cross-functional teams at all levels.
  • Experience creating, developing, and communicating executive-level materials
