Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Sourcing Manager to manage strategic sourcing and supplier development for Fragrances & Flavours (F&F) and Essential Oils. The role requires strong experience in working with distributors, traders, and manufacturers within the specialty chemicals, aroma chemicals, and essential oils ecosystem. The candidate will be responsible for building a robust supplier network, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring reliable supply to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers, distributors, and traders for Fragrances, Flavours, and Essential Oils.
- Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, cost efficiency, and supply reliability.
- Conduct market intelligence and supplier benchmarking to identify cost-effective sourcing opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
- Work closely with business, R&D, and operations teams to understand product requirements and sourcing needs.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Track market trends, raw material availability, and pricing dynamics within the F&F and essential oils industry.
- Support the business team in new product sourcing and supplier development.
- Manage risk mitigation strategies to avoid supply disruptions.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. MBA is an added advantage.
- Experience: 6–12 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain within specialty chemicals, fragrances & flavours, aroma chemicals, or essential oils.
- Experience working with distributors, traders, or sourcing networks in the F&F or essential oils ecosystem is highly preferred.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and commercial skills.
- Good understanding of global sourcing markets and vendor development.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, BD, and operations teams.
Preferred Background
Candidates from distributor/trader companies dealing in aroma chemicals, essential oils, or specialty chemicals will be highly preferred.
