Role : Principal Scientist - Synthetic Chemistry (Agrochemicals, Pharma API & Aroma Chemicals)
Role Overview
Scimplify is looking for a seasoned R&D leader to head the Synthetic chemistry function. The role will drive process development, scale-up and innovation across Agrochemicals, Pharma APIs and Aroma Chemicals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead process R&D and synthetic route development for specialty and fine chemicals.
- Design and optimize cost-efficient, scalable chemical processes.
- Drive technology transfer from lab to pilot and commercial scale.
- Lead innovation in Agrochemical intermediates, APIs, and aroma molecules.
- Collaborate with global clients and internal commercial teams to develop custom molecules.
- Build and mentor a high-performing R&D team.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams for process scale-up and commercialization
Qualifications
- PhD / M.Tech / MSc in Organic Chemistry or Synthetic Chemistry.
- Global/MNC experience in Process R&D is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience leading R&D teams.
- Strong experience in route scouting, impurity profiling, and scale-up chemistry.
