Role : Chemist -Polymer (Polymer & Composite material)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Research Chemist – Polymers & Composite Materials to join our R&D team. The role involves developing, formulating, and characterizing advanced polymeric and composite materials for diverse industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in polymer chemistry, material characterization, formulation development, and composite processing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize polymer and composite formulations to meet targeted performance requirements.
  • Conduct laboratory-scale experiments related to polymer synthesis, compounding, blending, and composite fabrication.
  • Develop and evaluate thermoplastics, thermosets, elastomers, biopolymers, fiber-reinforced composites, and specialty materials.
  • Investigate structure–property relationships and recommend material modifications to improve performance.
  • Perform material characterization and analyze experimental data to support product development.
  • Execute application trials, pilot-scale studies, process validation, and scale-up activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, procurement, and business development.
  • Support new product development initiatives from concept through commercialization.
  • Troubleshoot formulation, processing, and application-related challenges.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, technical reports, SOPs, and intellectual property documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (M.Sc./M.Tech.) or Ph.D. in Polymer Science, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–6 years of relevant experience in Polymer R&D, Composite Materials R&D, Specialty Chemicals, or Advanced Materials.
