About The Role

As a Retention Marketing Manager at Seeking Alpha, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth by focusing on retaining and engaging our existing subscribers. You will take ownership of creating and optimizing our subscriber retention initiatives across various channels, ensuring effective communication, and engagement with our audience. We're seeking a collaborative individual who can develop a deep understanding of our subscribers' needs and preferences, and implement strategies that drive measurable improvements in retention metrics, and work cross-functionally with teams including engineers, analysts, and designers.

The applicable salary range for this position is $90,000/yr to $110,000/yr which depends on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs, and market demand

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance customer retention across all our non-premium products.
  • Manage each stage of the campaign lifecycle, including ideation, execution, learning, and further iteration.
  • Maintain a strong focus on understanding user behavior, preferences, and feedback to optimize the customer experience and enhance retention.
  • Collaborate closely with design, development, and data teams to implement retention-focused initiatives and improvements.
  • Partner with the customer acquisition team to ensure alignment between acquisition and retention efforts and to optimize strategies for retaining customers acquired through various channels.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform retention strategies while remaining responsive to evolving customer needs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience doing retention marketing.
  • Outstanding project management skills, capable of effectively managing and executing campaigns.
  • Experience in lifecycle and email marketing.
  • Proficiency in conducting A/B tests to optimize strategies.
  • Background in subscription-based services.
  • Strong attention to detail, along with a precise and clear communication style.
  • Product management skills, including spec writing, mockups, and data analysis.
  • Experience working closely with product managers,analysts and developers.
  • A highly collaborative, team­-oriented individual who is comfortable with new situations and highly iterative projects.
