Seeking Alpha's Quantitative Team generates state-of-the-art financial metrics and data points. The objective of the Data Visual Associate is to engineer, design, and develop Smart Content that translates the complexity of market data and analysis into eye-catching visual representations such as charts, graphs, and multimedia content, including, but not limited to, images and infographics, to be published with written content on social media platforms for audience growth, building brand awareness, and increasing sales.

In close collaboration with the Head of Quantitative Strategies and cross-functional teams like Quant, Product, Marketing, and Design, the Data Visual Strategists will use Seeking Alpha’s unique Quant data points, coupled with interesting qualitative and quantitative information about the markets, economic data, trending financial news and topics to produce well-balanced social media posts that convince post viewers and prospective subscribers to sign up for Seeking Alpha’s subscription services.

The applicable salary range for this position is $60,000/yr to $80,000/yr which depends on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs, and market demand

Responsibilities

  • Research, data collection, data analysis, and build/design eye-catching charts/infographics for use in social media posts and Seeking Alpha articles from the Head of Quantitative Strategies.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, including “X,” formerly known as Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other major sites and podcasts.
  • Schedule daily reels and posts on social media platforms for brand, follower, and subscription growth.
  • Design skill in building Smart Content on stocks, ETFs, REITS, macro economic data and micro-industry data under the name of the Head of Quant Strategies to convert web audiences into paid subscriptions.
  • Create strong, attention-grabbing headlines and captions to engage audiences.
  • Aid the development strategy for new series, unique posts, and other initiatives.
  • Brainstorm ideas with the Quant Team to develop topics to capture audiences for growth.
  • Develop, write, and distribute daily posts for social media and for potential use in newsletters, campaigns, webinars, etc.
  • Write, edit & fact-check content to enhance graphics, charts, and data visual tools within deadlines.
  • Work closely with the Quant Team to direct written guidance, including editing and raw fact-checking data and querying when necessary.
  • Monitor and follow recent headlines, politics, and economic trends to develop dynamic concepts for financial/investment social media posts and other written materials as needed.
  • Work cross-functionally as the central liaison between the Head of Quant Strategy, Product, Marketing, and Content QA to publish charts and social media posts and optimize reach.

Requirements

  • Strong background in economics and financial markets
  • Proven ability to create charts and exhibits with interactive data visualization software with data housed or downloaded from Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Significant experience writing and self-editing social media content
  • Strong knowledge of the stock market and other financial markets, including fixed-income, commodities, and foreign exchange, as well as a solid grasp of investment strategies and asset classes.
  • Expert written and verbal communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Adapting brand tone to fit different scenarios while reflecting SA’s content strategy.
  • Implement financial data quality checks.
  • Ability to develop unique social media posts with appropriate levels of importance and believable dialogue and excel at relaying facts and information to readers engagingly while properly researching and citing your work and responding to comments.
  • Strong use of content scheduling tools like HubSpot or similar
  • SEO Knowledge
  • Fluent in English
