Job Description:
As a Microfluidic intern at SigTuple, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing microfluidic systems for a range of applications. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and researchers to translate concepts into functional microfluidic devices. Your contributions will be critical in advancing our technology and bringing novel solutions to market.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop microfluidic devices and systems for specific applications, considering factors such as fluid dynamics, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
Conduct experimental studies and modeling to evaluate and optimize the performance of microfluidic devices, including flow control, mixing efficiency, and reaction kinetics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate microfluidic components into larger systems or instruments, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges related to microfluidic device fabrication, assembly, and operation.
Stay informed about the latest advancements in microfluidic technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in microfluidic device design, fabrication, and characterization, preferably in an academic or industrial setting.
Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and simulation (e.g., SolidWorks, COMSOL, ANSYS).
Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, surface chemistry, and microfabrication techniquesAbility to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward identifying and addressing technical challenges.
