What You'll Do
- Strategic Leadership & Engagement: Lead strategic partnerships and initiatives within the market, driving collaborative efforts and encouraging growth opportunities. Provide leadership and oversight for local functional teams (Music, Studios, Marketing & Strategy Ops) in collaboration with global counterparts.
- Represent Spotify as a key spokesperson, advocating our values and initiatives to diverse audiences. Develop and further relationships with internal partners globally to support cohesive strategies. Advocate for regional insights and needs. Engage in negotiations with partners and creators, fostering mutually beneficial relationships.
- Implement Spotify’s business strategies optimally, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Address challenges proactively to uphold strategic alignment and drive success.
- Strategic Growth & Monetisation: Drive user growth (MAU and subscribers). Improve monetisation strategies to boost Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), particularly through Advertising Sales. Develop a team of marketing professionals to ensure timely execution of campaigns and initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build tailored marketing plans.
- Drive brand awareness and customer acquisition through innovative marketing initiatives. Evaluate market trends and competitor actions to capitalise on opportunities. Handle marketing budgets and prioritise optimally. Build and maintain strong connections with external partners and agencies. Stay informed about industry trends and effective marketing strategies.
- Collaboration & Partnership: Serve as the main voice of Spotify in the region, connecting with the public, collaborators, and partners. Cultivate an inclusive culture that unites people around a shared vision.
- Provide insights to Product & Technology teams on regional needs. Drive the effective implementation of Spotify’s strategies. Collaborate with global functions to ensure strategic objectives are met.
- Communication and Influence: Communicate openly to establish key partnerships. Listen, learn, and remain curious to continuously improve and innovate. Analye market opportunities and communicate insights to drive impactful actions. Develop and implement marketing strategies for the Northern Europe region.
Who You Are
- Validated experience in senior leadership roles within consumer or media-related industries, known to work in leading cross-functional teams within an international and matrix organisational structure.
- Strong background in engaging with creators, artists, and industry collaborators, with market knowledge in the Music, Video, Audio or Podcasts space.
- Ability to form effective relationships across dispersed locations, with experience in technology, digital, or media sectors. Deep understanding of market dynamics and ability to drive growth and monetisation.
- Proficiency in critical communication, market analysis, and impactful engagement, to build partnerships and gain support. Tried capability to lead through open, inclusive, and non-prestigious methods.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are a plus.
- Ideally experience in partial or full ownership of P&L decisions and strategy regionally.
- Excellent project management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
