The Ads Design team focuses on delivering the best experience possible for advertisers, listeners, and our internal and external partners across all of our products and markets. In the past year, our team has invested heavily in design quality and scale. We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who will further transform how we create advertising experiences, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of advertising on Spotify.

Location

  • New York

Job type

Permanent

We’re looking for a strong design leader with a passion for building innovative advertising products for advertisers and listeners alike. You’ll partner with the Ads Design team and work closely with the XFN partners and many other teams across Spotify to innovate experiences in one of the highest revenue-driving areas at the company.

What You'll Do

  • Work on projects across the Spotify Advertising Platform— ad formats, Ads Manager, internal tooling, design systems, machine learning — to develop design strategy, solutions, and ship high-impact features for our customers
  • Guide product development by utilizing your design craft, through concept sketches, storyboards, product mock-ups, high-fidelity prototypes
  • Think big, but start small — identify both new opportunities and also the first step to exploring them
  • Work in a variety of modes, from broad explorative prompts to tightly defined launch cycles
  • Partner closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists and researchers to define next steps as well as long-term strategy
  • Work with our user research teams to scope and support ongoing research projects
  • Design solutions focused on inclusivity and accessibility in order to reach users worldwide
  • Collaborate with other design teams across Spotify working at the intersection of brands and content
  • Share you work regularly with your immediate peers, as well as participating in design reviews with design and company leadership

Who You Are

  • You are a Senior Product Designer with multiple years experience owning and driving complex projects
  • You have worked in the Advertising space in the past
  • You have experience designing for either business or consumer focused products at scale
  • You enjoy crafting in complex and sometimes ambiguous spaces where there is no “paved path”
  • You care about design craft and the details that elevate work from good to great
  • You understand and can articulate how your work intersects with or augments existing design systems
  • You believe in creating a culture of feedback and actively seek out feedback on your work and approaches
  • You have 5+ years of relevant design experience

Where You'll Be

  • We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode that is best for them!
  • Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the United States within the Eastern Standard working hours.
  • Prefer an office to work from home instead? Not a problem! We have plenty of options for your working preferences. Find more information about our Work From Anywhere options here .
