What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to write and execute manual and automated tests to ensure product quality. As a QA engineer, you will be designing and implementing tests, debug and make corrective actions. You play a vital role in the company’s product development process. You will be responsible for testing the product before launches to ensure that the product is free from errors and reliable.

You will work closely with founders to build features, tools, and scalable architecture for Spyne. As with any startup, responsibilities will vary frequently. You’ll wear multiple hats, and work across many different technologies, might talk to clients directly, and have an active say in the direction of our product. We want someone who is passionate about this type of environment!

What you'll do?

• Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.
• Executing tests on software usability.
• Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.
• Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.
• Interacting with different stakeholders to understand product requirements.
• Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
• Collaborate with the team on manual testing and test case creation including edge scenarios.
• Design, build, and document reliable test and debug tools for yourself and other developers.
• Identify and fix gaps within the testing suite with a goal towards an overall high percentage of automation.
• Support functional, performance, load, and end-to-end testing.
• Enable user analytics, logging, monitoring, and instrumentation for all services.
• Take part in agile events to refine, estimate and deliver application features.
• Collaborate with various team members on feature design, development, and testing.

What you must have?

• Cross Browser and Responsive Testing.
• 2-4 yrs of Experience in Manual Testing.
• Mobile Device Testing using Appium and ABD commands.
• Visual testing using tools like applitools, BrowserStack - percy.
• API Testing using Postman or Jmeter.
• Experience with Automation Testing using Selenium is good to have.
• Manually tests stories to ensure all Acceptance Criteria are met.
• Reproduces reported issues and triaging root causes
• Understands business workflow and process flows
