Job Responsibilities
We’re scaling fast—blazing-fast—and need a high-agency, no-excuses Director of Product to lead our AI applications team. This isn’t just another product role. It’s a zero-to-one, high-stakes mission to build cutting-edge Computer Vision & LLM SaaS products for the automotive industry—faster, smarter, and bolder than anyone else.
You’ll own the product vision, strategy, and execution for our AI-powered portfolio, leading 6-8 elite PMs and working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering, AI, design, and GTM teams. Speed is non-negotiable. Market moves fast? You move faster. Problems arise? You fix them—before they’re problems.
What will you do?
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the product vision and strategy for AI applications in the automotive sector, aligning with company objectives and market opportunities
- Lead a team of 6-8 Product Managers, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development while fostering a culture of innovation
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify new market opportunities and drive business growth through AI-powered solutions
Product Development & Innovation
- Guide the development of Computer Vision applications for automotive use cases, including Merchandising systems, quality control, and automotive inspections.
- Oversee the integration of LLM capabilities into automotive software solutions, focusing on areas such as natural language interfaces, documentation analysis, and predictive maintenance
- Establish product development frameworks that balance innovation with practical implementation and regulatory compliance.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams
- Manage relationships with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to understand their needs and ensure product-market fit
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful product delivery and market adoption
Market & Technical Leadership
- Stay current with advances in AI, particularly in Computer Vision and LLMs, and their potential applications in the automotive industry
- Develop and maintain deep understanding of automotive industry trends, regulations, and technical requirements
- Present product strategy and roadmap to executive leadership, board members, and key customers
What you must have?
- 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years leading product teams
- Proven track record of successfully launching AI/ML products at scale
- Experience with Computer Vision and/or LLM technologies and their practical applications
- Strong technical background with ability to collaborate effectively with ML/AI engineering teams
- Excellence in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills
- Exceptional communication skills to explain technical AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to define and measure success metrics.
- Hands-on experience with product development tools (e.g., Figma, Jira) and basic familiarity with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
