About the Role
We are looking for a Head of AI — a visionary, hands-on leader who thrives at the intersection of deep tech and business impact. This is not a maintenance role; it’s a build-from-scratch, scale-with-speed mandate.
You’ll lead Spyne’s AI initiatives end-to-end — from defining the roadmap and driving R&D, to shipping world-class AI products that power the next generation of automotive commerce.
📍 Location: Gurugram (Work from Office – 5 days a week)
What You’ll Own
- AI Strategy & Vision: Define and execute Spyne’s long-term AI roadmap aligned with product, business, and global expansion goals.
- Hands-On Innovation: Lead the design, training, and optimization of deep learning and generative AI models — including LLMs, diffusion models, GANs, and transformers.
- Scale & Deployment: Build scalable AI infrastructure, model pipelines, and production-grade deployments leveraging AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and grow a world-class AI team — fostering a culture of ownership, curiosity, and velocity.
- Cross-Functional Impact: Partner closely with product, engineering, and design teams to integrate AI seamlessly into customer-facing experiences.
- Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of emerging AI trends and represent Spyne at global conferences, forums, and research collaborations.
- Execution Excellence: Balance innovation with delivery — ensuring AI models move from prototype to production with measurable business outcomes.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 6–8 years of experience in AI/ML, with proven expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, Computer Vision, and Deep Learning.
- A strong academic or research pedigree (top-tier institute or AI-driven company background preferred).
- Deep experience building and scaling AI products in a high-growth, fast-paced startup or enterprise environment.
- Hands-on expertise in frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, Hugging Face, and modern MLOps practices.
- A builder’s mindset — capable of moving fast, experimenting, and delivering results with minimal oversight.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills; able to inspire, guide, and develop high-performing technical teams.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities; comfortable engaging with leadership, product, and customers.
