Senior Lead, Commercial Strategy

Squarespace is looking for a data-driven, analytical thinker to research, design, and evaluate initiatives that drive profitable growth across our products and businesses.
This role supports or leads work streams on projects related to the company’s pricing and packaging, collaborating with product teams and business units on monetization efforts. You will be joining a Commercial Strategy team to partner cross-functionally across the company. You will be responsible for the end-to-end commercial aspects of a set of customer SKUs, product offerings, and other opportunities.
You’ll work 2-3 days a week from our NYC Headquarters and report to the Director, Commercial Strategy.
What You’ll Do…
- Stakeholder Alignment & Problem Solving: Tackle ambiguous problems independently, approaching them thoughtfully and methodically. Confidently and clearly present work outputs to peers and regularly package findings into executive-level resources. Your work product is on the critical path of partner teams' roadmaps.
- Data Analysis & Insight: Analyze pricing data, customer segments, and user behaviors to discover pricing opportunities, best practices, and areas for improvement. Translate analyses into actionable insights to prioritize pricing decisions in pursuit of business objectives.
- Testing and Optimization: Design and execute monetization experiments in conjunction with Product teams to evaluate the effectiveness of different pricing strategies. Monitor and analyze the results to identify successful approaches which will inform our overall strategy.
- Pricing Modeling: Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) on sophisticated pricing models that incorporate factors such as product features, customer lifetime value, market demand, and competitive landscape. Use these models to simulate pricing scenarios and quantify potential impact on revenue.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitors' pricing structures, packaging, and positioning within the market. Use this information to develop differentiated pricing strategies that capitalize on market dynamics.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports and dashboards that provide visibility into key pricing metrics, trends, and performance indicators. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels and functions across the organization.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with 4+ years of experience working within an analytical role (e.g., Pricing, Commercial Strategy, Growth Analytics).
- Strong competency with SQL and sophisticated business modeling.
- Experience with A/B testing at scale and communicating statistical results to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Action-oriented, creative, and curious about understanding what customers value.
- Proven ability to work independently, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to build rigorous, fact-based findings.

Cash Compensation Range: $105,500 - $170,200 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure in addition to base salary.
