Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Customer Success Engineer to join our Customer Success team. This role will serve as the technical advocate and trusted advisor to our enterprise customers, providing expert guidance and proactive support to drive seamless implementation, accelerated adoption, and deep integration of Styra's solutions. This role focuses on strategic account management and tailored strategies to facilitate continuous improvement, enable expansion and scaling, and ensure long-term success for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the rest of the Styra team, you will:

  • Get hands-on and work with customer engineers on the technical details of onboarding - especially those in complex, demanding environments (eg Financial, Healthcare).
  • Coordinate across multiple Styra teams, including support, sales, product, and engineering, to drive customer success priorities.
  • Help to research and resolve customer issues alongside support and engineering teams.
  • Help to develop, plan, and deliver technical training to customers
  • Share and document knowledge via FAQ / KB articles, which can be internal or customer-facing
  • Build repeatable engagement as we scale the organization.
  • Work directly with customers to architect, design, and build solutions based upon OPA/Styra Enterprise OPA platform.
  • Providing architecture-level consulting to help customers leverage Styra DAS as an integrated part of their environment.
  • Consult and design product integrations to enable the customers to be successful with the Styra Enterprise OPA Platform.

What You Bring To The Team

  • At least 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role. Consulting experience is a huge plus.
  • Proven experience in managing complex enterprise-level customer projects.
  • Experience working with large enterprise strategic accounts.
  • Strong technical foundation, preferably in access control, security solutions, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to clearly explain complex technical scenarios to a diverse range of customer roles.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Familiarity with SaaS and modern cloud-native technologies, including the CNCF ecosystem and major public cloud platforms, strong proficiency in AWS.
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as GoLang or shell scripting.
  • Experience in API Gateway, Service Mesh, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Open Policy Agent (OPA) and the Rego policy language.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

For this role, the estimated base salary is £90,000 - £124,000.The final compensation package for this role will be determined during the interview process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to: location, skills, experience, and training. This role is also eligible to receive commission and equity, which is not listed in the salary range.
