Your Role:
Reporting to the Senior Treasury and Accounting Manager, in this role you will be responsible for the preparation of statutory financial statements under FRS 102 and take the lead in our statutory audits for Ireland and the UK. In addition, you will be supporting our international Compliance, Tax, Cash Management and Treasury processes. The role also includes participation in various projects, like acquisitions and mergers, as well as process improvement initiatives, where the Principal Accountant is expected to be a key contributor.
This role will be very hands-on, requiring strong technical accounting and analytical skills. As the main contact for our biggest international statutory audits you are an experienced accountant with excellent interpersonal skills, an eye for detail and a highly professional approach to preparing and presenting financial data.
Your Opportunity:
- Main on site contact for Ireland and UK statutory FRS 102 audits. Support other international audits as needed
- Support preparation of annual Corporation Tax Return, R&D Credit and Incentive Claims
- Support tax provision and statutory process, identifying RTP adjustments
- Prepare and submit VIES, 46G and other tax returns
- Support implementation of transfer pricing strategies, handle interventions and audits
- First line reviewer of local TB files and work papers for international statutory audits
- Support EMEA e-invoicing requirements and regulations
- Manage bank account opening, closing and KYC process
- Prepare trust and tax account reconciliations, manage cash refunds
- Coordinate international tax and statutory payments
- Manage intercompany loans and settlements
- Support Corporate Finance Team on consolidated cash flow analysis and reporting
- Review current Treasury and Statutory processes and lead the implementation of process automations
What You'll Need:
- Professional Qualification: A professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA/ACA) is essential, with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience
- Experience working in Practice is preferred
- You must have strong technical accounting skills as well as extensive experience in tracking and managing regulatory changes
- Attention to Detail & Controls: You have a great attention to detail and understand the importance of controls, ensuring your work is of the highest quality
- Communication and Collaboration: You are a strong communicator, with excellent written and verbal communication skills that enable you to clearly articulate complex financial information
- As a strong collaborator, you work effectively with diverse teams and external partners
- You are proactive with a positive attitude and can work on your own initiative
- You have an eye for identifying potential challenges and risks and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple requests in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
- Excellent Excel skills, experience working with an ERP system are required. In addition, you are a proficient user of Power Query and Power BI
- Previous experience using Alteryx is a distinct advantage
- Fluency in a second language, such as French, Polish, Arabic, or Spanish, would be advantageous
