What You'll Do
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will take the lead in designing, building, and maintaining complex, scalable data architectures that enable advanced analytics and business intelligence. You'll work across various data sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality. Your role will focus on empowering cross-functional teams to derive actionable insights while ensuring data integrity and performance at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and Maintain Centralized Data Systems: Oversee the development and maintenance of a central data repository by integrating multiple data sources with varying schemas, including databases (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Prometheus), APIs (Stripe, Salesforce, etc.), and manual reports (financial, budgets, forecasts).
Lead the Development of Scalable Data Pipelines: Design and build robust, reliable, and scalable data pipelines that support self-service reporting and advanced analytics, using open-source tools such as Airbyte, dbt, and Airflow.
Ensure Data Accuracy and Integrity: Establish protocols for data validation and accuracy, particularly focusing on business and user engagement data to ensure the integrity of our data infrastructure.
Data Visualization and Reporting: Drive sophisticated data visualization strategies to communicate insights effectively across engineering, product, sales, and leadership to understand and address complex data needs.
Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior data engineer, sharing best practices and driving a data-driven culture across the company.
About You
6+ Years of Experience in Data Engineering with a proven track record of building and scaling data infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in SQL: Ability to write and optimize complex, efficient, and maintainable SQL queries.
Strong Python Skills and familiarity with relevant data engineering libraries and frameworks.
Experience with the Modern Data Stack: Hands-on expertise with tools such as Airbyte, dbt, Airflow, and similar technologies.
Data Pipeline Architecture Expertise: Demonstrated ability to design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT processes.
Data Integrity Focus: Strong commitment to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of business-critical data.
Collaborative Mindset: Comfortable working across teams, translating technical findings into business insights and communicating effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
Project Management: Advanced project management skills, including the ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Web3 or Blockchain technologies.
