The Role
Proofpoint is seeking a Learning & Development Program Manager (12-month contract) to lead and evolve our global onboarding experience and support key development initiatives across the organization.
This role owns global onboarding end-to-end, ensuring a consistent, high-quality new hire experience across AMER, EMEA, and APJ. In addition, this role will lead and operationalize select L&D programs aligned to business priorities, helping strengthen development infrastructure, governance, and employee experience.
The ideal candidate brings strong program ownership, facilitation experience, and the ability to operate both strategically and operationally in a fast-moving environment.
Due to the global nature of this role, flexibility in working hours is required, including supporting AMER hours a few days per week to enable live facilitation and stakeholder coordination.
Your Day-to-Day
Global Onboarding – End-to-End Ownership
Own the global onboarding program execution and continuous improvement across all regions.
Facilitate live onboarding sessions for AMER, EMEA, and APJ to ensure consistency in content, experience, and messaging.
Partner closely with Talent Acquisition, Recruiting Coordinators, IT, HR Business Partners, and business leaders to ensure onboarding processes run smoothly from pre-boarding through first weeks.
Manage onboarding communications, session logistics, and new hire follow-up.
Serve as the primary point of contact for onboarding-related questions and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Maintain and evolve onboarding content, SharePoint resources, and supporting materials to reflect current processes and priorities.
Monitor onboarding effectiveness through feedback and metrics, identifying opportunities to streamline and strengthen the experience globally.
Drive a consistent onboarding standard while allowing flexibility for regional and functional needs.
Additional Program Ownership & L&D Initiatives
Own governance and administration of external learning budget
Oversee structured development programs, such as mentoring initiatives, including program framework, mentor sourcing, participant matching (including intern matching where applicable), communications, and ongoing program oversight.
Developing marketing materials and internal communications to drive awareness, participation, and engagement across programs.
Actively use AI tools to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance learning content and program delivery.
Establishing clear processes, metrics, and feedback loops to measure program effectiveness and continuously improve delivery and scalability.
The scope of these initiatives may evolve based on organizational needs.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, or Program Management.
Demonstrated experience owning and scaling global programs with multiple stakeholders.
Strong facilitation skills with experience delivering engaging sessions to diverse, global audiences.
Experience managing cross-functional processes across HR, Recruiting, IT, and business teams.
Comfort working in Workday or similar HR systems.
Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
