Alteryx is searching for an IT Desktop Support Technician based in our Bengaluru, India office.
Overview:
As an IT Desktop Support Technician your primary responsibilities are providing professional and efficient desktop support and customer care in a medium-large-sized enterprise environment. A strong customer service mindset and expert knowledge of Mac and PC troubleshooting is key to succeeding in this role. We are a fast-growing company and there are many opportunities to contribute to the success of the IT team while honing your technical and customer service skillsets. Participate in a 24/7 rotational shift to ensure high availability and support of authentication services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Zealously promotes our Customer Centric approach: working to be a part of our customer's solutions.
- Triage desktop support issues, and work with the NOC and Desktop Engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software systems.
- The IT Desktop Support Technician also provides end-user technical support and training, Desktop Support task management, and IT customer service.
- Participate in a 24/7 rotational shift to ensure high availability and support of authentication services.
- Provide PC and Apple hardware support for escalations.
- Provide necessary desktop application support and deployment.
- Provide additional technical support services, such as videoconference meetings, workstation cabling and connectivity.
- Create and maintain KB (Knowledge Base) articles and desktop instructions for all routinely performed tasks.
- Keep up on current technology to upskill alongside your peers.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated customer service & troubleshooting skill sets.
- Must be customer service focused, desiring to exceed customer expectations at every opportunity.
- Must be able to work independently, yet adhere to company standards in areas of documentation, planning, and execution.
- Proven ability to take ownership of job responsibilities with minimal oversight.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- At least 6-8 years of IT-related support experience.
- Expert in PC and Mac hardware and software installation and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft stack of applications (Microsoft O365, Microsoft Teams), Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10), Active Directory Administration, Group Policies, Microsoft Exchange Online, etc.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting smart phones and tablets.
- Extensive knowledge of Azure Active Directory and its capabilities.
- Understanding of security practices including physical, internet, and wireless security.
- Understanding of user authentication (passwords and 2fa).
- CompTIA, Microsoft, Apple or ITIL Certified.
