Alteryx is searching for a Principal Customer Specialist, Platform & AI/ML. This position is remote-friendly.

Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Architectural Leadership: Strategically architect complex, modern-stack AI-enabled analytics solutions, providing the technical thought leadership required to align global enterprise needs with C-suite business objectives.
Enterprise Visionary: Act as the lead technical champion for Alteryx One global initiatives, utilizing advanced creativity and ingenuity to design resilient, AI-integrated enterprise frameworks.
AI Lifecycle Orchestration: Lead the design and integration of end-to-end AI/ML lifecycles, specializing in the orchestration of Large Language Models (LLMs) within high-scale data pipelines and complex MCP server environments.
Autonomous Agent Design: Spearhead cross-functional initiatives to design and implement autonomous agentic workflows that solve unstructured data challenges across multi-cloud ecosystems.
Governance & Data Integrity: Govern the implementation of sophisticated ETL, Data Quality, and Alteryx strategies to ensure the delivery of high-fidelity, model-ready data for enterprise AI applications.
Technical Mentorship & Policy: Serve as a mentor to senior and junior Sales Engineering staff, formalizing technical best practices and influencing product and GTM organizational policies regarding modern enterprise technologies.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of professional functional experience, including at least 5 years of specific expertise in AI/ML solutions architecture and enterprise cloud strategy.
Advanced LLM & Generative AI Expertise: Proven track record in the design and deployment of LLM-based applications, including but not limited to custom Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and architectures and model fine-tuning within enterprise frameworks like Gemini Enterprise or SageMaker ML.
Programming & API Proficiency: Expert-level skills in Python or Java are required for custom AI development, alongside a mastery of API services and orchestration tools.
Expert-level architectural proficiency and professional certifications with one of the "Big Three" cloud ecosystems and working knowledge of the others: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure.
AI Data Warehouse Specialization: Deep technical expertise in architecting AI solutions that leverage Cloud Data Warehouses (CDW) and lakehouses, with a specific requirement for proficiency in BigQuery ML, Databricks, or Snowflake integrations.
Enterprise Security Authority: Strong command of modern enterprise security frameworks and regulatory requirements for ensuring all AI-driven analytics solutions meet rigorous global data governance and compliance standards.
Experience with AI/ML frameworks and LLM-based applications in enterprise environments (eg; Gemini Enterprise, Sagemaker ML, Databricks, Anthropic, OpenAI).
Expertise with MCP server integration and orchestration tools.
Formal Education: Four-year college degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent high-level industry experience.
Valued Experience:
Advanced working knowledge of API services and integrations.
Expert skills in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), Data Quality, and Alteryx.
Alteryx Solution ACE Certification Preferred or “black belt” in data preparation.
Compensation:
Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
The salary range for this role in the United States is $125,070 - $163,450 (On Target Earnings range is $180,100 - $233,500).
In addition to base pay and commission eligibility, this role includes clear forms of additional compensation, such as:
A monthly Connectivity Plus stipend of $150 to support remote work-related expenses
