About the Role
The Senior Manager, Professional Services – Architecture leads a team of Professional Services Architects responsible for designing and driving scalable, production-ready, and enterprise-grade Alteryx implementations. This role provides leadership across senior individual contributors, including Lead Architects, and may oversee Team Leads as organizational needs evolve.
You will provide advanced technical and operational leadership across complex enterprise engagements, ensuring architectural consistency, delivery excellence, and a differentiated Customer Experience. In this role, you will operate cross-functionally across Professional Services and Customer Experience organizations, partnering with peer leaders to align delivery standards, resource strategy, and customer outcomes.
Operating within the broader Professional Services strategy, you will strengthen governance, influence architectural practices, and collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, and senior leadership to drive business performance and long-term customer value.
This role is ideal for a technically authoritative leader who develops senior talent, navigates high-stakes enterprise environments, and elevates execution across a portfolio of engagements.
What You’ll Do
Lead Senior Architecture Talent
- Lead and develop Professional Services Architects, including Lead Architects and, where applicable, Team Leads.
- Elevate technical depth, leadership capability, and succession readiness within the team.
- Drive workforce planning and organizational scalability aligned to business needs.
Elevate Architectural Excellence & Customer Experience
- Provide executive-level oversight for complex, high-risk, or strategically significant implementations.
- Ensure architectural quality, consistency, and adherence to established standards across engagements.
- Strengthen design review and governance practices to improve scalability and stability.
- Ensure solutions enable adoption, operational resilience, and long-term value realization.
Drive Strategic & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Partner cross-functionally within Professional Services and Customer Experience to align delivery execution and customer outcomes.
- Provide architectural insight during pre-sales validation and services scoping to assess risk and readiness.
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of architectural practices and service delivery effectiveness.
Own Operational & Business Performance
- Partner with senior leadership on business planning, forecasting, and resource strategy.
- Drive functional performance metrics including utilization, capacity planning, and delivery effectiveness.
- Deliver measurable performance outcomes aligned to organizational priorities.
- Identify and implement improvements that enhance architectural leverage and operational efficiency at scale.
Executive Partnership & Escalation
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex customer or technical challenges.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success leadership to align architectural strategy to enterprise account plans.
- Provide field insights to Product and Engineering to inform roadmap priorities.
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, consulting, or Professional Services, including experience driving enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions with strong customer experience and value realization outcomes.
- 4+ years of experience leading technical teams, including experience developing senior individual contributors and/or Team Leads.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-workstream enterprise engagements.
- Strong understanding of modern data architectures and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse).
- Experience influencing services scoping, deal quality, and architectural risk management.
- Strong business acumen, including forecasting, performance management, and operational planning.
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Compensation 170,000-200,000 plus bonus& Equity
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
