The Employee Relations Advisor plays a key role in supporting our managers and employees through performance management, coaching, and workplace challenges. This role will partner closely with U.S. managers to guide performance conversations, navigate the performance management process, and ensure the proper documentation is in place. This role will also help build manager capability through training and support, enabling leaders to confidently and proactively manage performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Managers:
    Support leaders in addressing performance and behavioral issues early and effectively. Ensure proper coaching and feedback have been given before moving to formal action.

  • Performance Improvement Plans:
    Guide managers in drafting and executing objective, actionable, and supportive PIPs. Provide ongoing guidance throughout the process to ensure fairness, transparency, and consistency.

  • Employee Support:
    Offer balanced guidance and resources to employees navigating performance processes, ensuring understanding and engagement throughout.

  • Documentation & Compliance:
    Ensure employee relations matters are thoroughly documented and compliant with company policy and U.S. employment laws.

  • Training & Education:
    Deliver and support training for managers on performance management, documentation best practices, and performance management fundamentals.

  • Policy & Employment Law Knowledge:
    Stay current on U.S. employment laws and Alteryx policies to provide accurate, compliant, and practical guidance.

  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with HR Business Partners, Legal, and other cross-functional partners to ensure a consistent approach to all employee relations matters.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of direct experience in employee relations/performance management.

  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and Title VII. Exposure to Canadian employment laws a plus.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills; able to influence and coach managers and employees with empathy and confidence.

  • Proven ability to manage confidential, sensitive, and complex situations with professionalism and discretion.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with ER case management system a plus.

  • Experience facilitating or supporting manager training is a plus.

Compensation

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

The base salary range for this role in the United States is $103,000 - $133,000. This role is also eligible for a target annual bonus of 15% of base salary, based on individual and company performance.

In addition to base pay and bonus eligibility, this role includes clear forms of additional compensation, such as:

  • A monthly Connectivity Plus stipend of $150 to support remote work-related expenses

  • An annual $200 home office reimbursement
