Meet the Moment with Alteryx

We're living through a once-in-a-generation shift in how work gets done. Data, automation, and AI are quickly becoming the center of every business decision - and Alteryx is leading the transformation.

You'll be working on the challenges that sit at the heart of modern business. No matter your role, the work you do will help organizations move faster, see more clearly, and tackle questions that used to feel impossible.

If you're ready to meet the moment with innovation, curiosity, and excellence, there's a place for you here.

Our Content Design team is part of the UX and Global Content organization at Alteryx, a data and AI company whose software is used by hundreds of thousands of analysts and data workers worldwide. We are embedded directly in product, partnering with UX designers, product managers, and engineers from problem framing through delivery.

You will fit right in if you believe that good content is a design decision, not a final step. You will thrive if you care about the words that guide users through complex, high-stakes workflows: error messages that actually explain what went wrong, onboarding flows that don't overwhelm, UI copy that makes a powerful product feel approachable. If you love delighting users by crafting thoughtful, purposeful content, we would love to hear from you.

We look for writers who collaborate well, take feedback seriously, advocate clearly for the user, and want to own their work from first draft to shipped experience.

Responsibilities

  • Author product content: Write UI copy, error messages, tooltips, empty states, onboarding flows, and in-product guidance for complex data and AI-powered product experiences. Deliver consistent, high-quality content across common scenarios with clear information hierarchies.
  • Partner early: Join design reviews, problem-framing sessions, not just to review copy but to help shape the experience. Work with Product Managers and Designers to ensure the right content ships on time.
  • Learn and apply content standards: Apply and contribute to the team's shared voice, tone, and terminology guidelines. Identify inconsistencies in product language and surface them for resolution.
  • Manage a high-volume workload, prioritizing content requests based on roadmaps and deadlines.
  • Use AI-assisted workflows and content quality tools, including Figma plugins and readability scoring, to work efficiently and measure the impact of what you ship.
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusion: Help designers and engineers understand the value of content decisions and what makes copy work for a diverse, global user base.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with localization, research, and support to ensure your content holds up across languages, contexts, and the full range of Alteryx users.

Nice to have

  • Experience writing for platform-driven products and cross-product journeys.
  • Previous experience embedded on a UX or product team.
  • Familiarity with AI product content: onboarding, error handling, and trust-building copy.
  • Experience with data analytics, business intelligence, or developer tools.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience in content design, UX writing, or product writing for software or SaaS products.
  • Outstanding English. You will write content in American English for a global audience.
  • A portfolio that shows how you think, not just what you wrote. Examples from complex or technical products are a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of Figma and comfort with design handoff and collaborative review workflows.
  • Experience planning and tracking work in Jira or a similar project management tool.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.

Your Team

The Content Design team is small, trusted, and given real ownership. We operate across multiple product pillars: AI tools, data connectivity, canvas workflows, enterprise administration, and more, embedded directly with design and product. Our work ships. Our opinions matter.

We are part of the broader UX and Global Content organization, which includes UX Research, Product Design, Technical Writing, and Localization. We share standards and a strong culture of peer review and craft across these disciplines.

We are remote-friendly and work flexible schedules. Prague team members collaborate with US-based colleagues across time zones, with team calls scheduled to accommodate distributed working hours.

Find yourself checking a lot of these boxes but doubting whether you should apply? At Alteryx, we support a growth mindset for our associates through all stages of their careers. If you meet some of the requirements and you share our values, we encourage you to apply. As part of our ongoing commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace, we’re invested in building teams with a wide variety of backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
