Key Responsibilities:

1. Hyperlocal Network Setup and Expansion (SDD/NDD)

Build and manage city-level delivery network across multiple metros/tier-1/tier-2 cities

Design and run the SDD & NDD operational model (cut-off times, batching, routing)

Identify warehouses/stock points and align delivery timelines accordingly

Ensure smooth coordination between warehouse, delivery teams, and customer support

2. Delivery Operations Management

Manage daily pickup–dispatch–delivery cycles

Create efficient batching and routing to meet SDD/NDD timelines

Reduce failed deliveries through better communication, address validation, and route planning

Work with hyperlocal delivery partners (Shadowfax, Dunzo B2B, Porter, LoadShare, Milkbasket, Amazon hyperlocal etc.) — not food/grocery 10-min riders

3. Strategic Planning and Critical Thinking

Drive strategic thinking to understand which areas are feasible for the new model

Run analyses to constantly monitor new opportunities

4. Cost & Efficiency

Reduce cost per delivery through batching, consolidation, and proper zone planning

Build economical intra-city delivery flows for e-pharmacy orders

Control OPEX, rider cost, partner cost, and SLA adherence

5. Partner & Vendor Management

Manage and negotiate with hyperlocal courier partners (but not Swiggy /Zomato type)

Drive SLAs, TATs, and quality adherence

Evaluate new vendors for expanding SDD/NDD network

6. Tech & Process

Work with Tech/Product teams for:

Delivery slot selection

Cut-off time automation

Routing and batching logic

Visibility on SDD/NDD orders

Utilize platforms like Shipsy, FarEye, Unicommerce, WMS for tracking and planning

7. Service Quality & SLA Control

Ensure delivery happens within the committed SDD/NDD timeline

Improve contractability and reduce NDR

Build city-level performance dashboards

Ideal Candidate Profile:

6–12 years of experience in hyperlocal or city-level logistics

Experience in SDD/NDD models (pharmacy, grocery, retail, courier)

Strong operational knowledge and comfort with hands-on working

Ability to drive quantitative assessments and demonstrate critical thinking aptitude
