About the Role

Truemeds is a leading healthtech and e-pharmacy platform making essential medicines affordable across India.

We are looking for an SEO Lead to own end-to-end organic growth—not just rankings, but organic revenue. This role sits at the intersection of Search, Product, Engineering, Content, and Analytics, and will have a seat at the table in business discussions where organic growth is a factor.

You will own organic revenue. This is not a keyword-ranking role; it is a growth ownership role. You will be accountable for organic traffic, conversions, and revenue, while actively participating in every business discussion where organic growth can drive impact.

Key Responsibilities

1. Organic Revenue & Growth Strategy

  • Own the full organic growth P&L, including traffic, conversions, and revenue from SEO.
  • Build quarterly SEO roadmaps aligned with business goals such as:
  • Non-brand traffic growth
  • Category growth
  • Medicine discovery
  • Web-to-app migration
  • Repeat-order uplift
  • Identify scalable opportunities across:
  • Medicine pages
  • Category pages
  • PLP/PDP pages
  • Salt, condition, and substitute pages
  • Programmatic templates
  • Educational content hubs
  • Participate actively in business planning discussions where organic growth is a key lever.

2. Technical SEO

  • Own SEO strategy for a modern Next.js platform.
  • Demonstrate expertise in:
  • CSR (Client-Side Rendering)
  • SSR (Server-Side Rendering)
  • SSG (Static Site Generation)
  • ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration)
  • Hydration and rendering trade-offs
  • Partner with Engineering on:
  • Crawlability
  • Indexability
  • Canonicalization
  • Internal linking
  • Sitemaps
  • Robots.txt
  • Structured data and schema implementation
  • Diagnose and resolve:
  • JavaScript SEO issues
  • Orphan pages
  • Redirect chains
  • Crawl traps
  • Index bloat
  • Canonical errors
  • Lead SEO efforts during:
  • Site migrations
  • CMS changes
  • Architecture redesigns
  • Product releases

3. Core Web Vitals & Performance

  • Drive optimization of:
  • Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)
  • Interaction to Next Paint (INP)
  • Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)
  • Partner closely with Engineering to improve performance.
  • Own SEO monitoring related to:
  • Site reliability
  • Downtime
  • Rendering failures
  • Release regressions
  • Tracking issues

4. Content Strategy & E-E-A-T

  • Define content strategies for:
  • Health information
  • Medicine discovery
  • Informational search journeys
  • Lead:
  • Topic clustering
  • Search intent mapping
  • Content brief creation
  • Entity coverage
  • Build systems ensuring:
  • Content accuracy
  • Medical review readiness
  • Freshness and helpfulness
  • Author trust signals
  • Own E-E-A-T and YMYL compliance frameworks.
  • Reduce risks associated with:
  • Thin content
  • Duplicate content
  • Low-quality pages

5. AI Optimization, AEO & GEO

  • Own Truemeds’ visibility strategy across:
  • Google AI Overviews
  • Search Generative Experience (SGE)
  • Perplexity
  • ChatGPT
  • Gemini
  • Emerging answer engines
  • Develop Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) frameworks:
  • Structured answers
  • FAQ schema
  • Passage-level relevance
  • Entity-first content design
  • Lead Generative Engine Optimization (GEO):
  • Ensure content is cited and surfaced in AI-generated responses.
  • Build strategies to defend organic click share as AI-generated search experiences evolve.
  • Stay ahead of LLM discovery, evaluation, and recommendation mechanisms for health content.

6. Programmatic SEO at Scale

  • Design and scale programmatic SEO initiatives.
  • Manage:
  • Template-driven pages
  • Dynamic metadata
  • Scalable internal linking
  • Long-tail keyword capture
  • Establish governance frameworks ensuring:
  • High-quality pages
  • Differentiated content
  • Conversion-focused experiences
  • Minimal index bloat

7. Analytics & Measurement

  • Own SEO measurement architecture across:
  • GA4
  • Google Search Console
  • AppsFlyer
  • BigQuery / SQL
  • BI tools
  • Build dashboards tracking:
  • Traffic quality
  • Ranking movement
  • Conversion by page type
  • Web-to-app assists
  • Organic revenue attribution
  • Partner with Analytics teams to ensure:
  • Reliable attribution
  • Funnel instrumentation
  • Experiment measurement

8. App SEO / ASO / Web-to-App Growth

  • Drive SEO-to-ASO integration:
  • Branded search capture
  • Medicine discovery journeys
  • Install prompts
  • Deferred deep linking
  • Partner on ASO strategy:
  • Keyword optimization
  • Store listing optimization
  • Visual asset improvements
  • Install conversion optimization
  • Android vitals

9. Off-Page SEO, Digital PR & Authority Building

  • Build high-quality backlink acquisition programs through:
  • Editorial partnerships
  • Digital PR
  • Content syndication
  • Brand mention reclamation
  • Exercise strong judgment on safe and compliant healthcare link-building strategies.

10. Reddit, Quora & Community-Led SEO

  • Develop community-driven SEO strategies across Reddit and Quora.
  • Identify high-intent communities where Truemeds can provide expert, non-promotional value.
  • Build playbooks for:
  • Answering medicine-related queries
  • Building trust
  • Earning backlinks
  • Becoming a cited source in AI-generated responses
  • Monitor:
  • Brand mentions
  • Competitor discussions
  • Unanswered user questions
  • Feed community insights into broader content and SEO strategy.

11. YouTube SEO & Video Discovery

  • Own YouTube SEO strategy, including:
  • Keyword research
  • Title and description optimization
  • Tags
  • Chapters
  • Thumbnail strategy
  • Playlist architecture
  • Build search-driven video content around:
  • Medicine explainers
  • Substitute guides
  • Usage tutorials
  • Doctor-led credibility content
  • Implement:
  • Video schema markup
  • Video sitemaps
  • Rich result optimization
  • Track performance through YouTube Analytics and correlate with:
  • Website traffic

12. Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Building

  • Translate SEO requirements into:
