Join our team as a Scientific Project Manager and help us understand and tackle cancer!

As a Scientific Project Manager, you will work within Turbine’s Solutions Team — a multidisciplinary group of translational and computational biologists. We collaborate with leading pharmaceutical and biotech partners, generating impactful insights through our proprietary Simulated Cell platform. Together with our internal dry-lab and wet-lab teams, we create and validate computational predictions through state-of-the-art experiments to drive real-world impact in drug discovery and development.

You won’t be alone in this journey. In addition to working closely with Turbine’s internal experts, you’ll collaborate with our renowned scientific advisors who support and strengthen the translation of our innovations into tangible results.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and deliver Turbine’s collaborative projects with external partners
  • Lead cross-functional internal teams and coordinate external consultants and client stakeholders
  • Scope scientific projects, manage tasks and risks, track progress, and communicate results to partners and internal stakeholders
  • Support related functions such as business development, legal, and finance to ensure seamless project execution
  • Work closely with internal product teams to define project requirements, refine software and ML model specifications, set priorities, and support development
  • Align project goals with Turbine’s strategic direction and company objectives

Requirements

You are a great candidate if you worked as a senior translational or computational biologist in the biopharma industry, and sought out team leadership or project management responsibilities in your role.

  • MSc (or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g. medicine, bioengineering, life sciences)
  • Strong technical understanding across multidisciplinary domains such as
    molecular biology,
    computational biology
    and AI/ML
  • Proven experience in project or program management and team leadership
  • Excellent team and stakeholder management skills, including remote coordination
  • Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and communicate effectively under tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, with rigorous tracking of tasks, communications, decisions, actions, and risks
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to simplify complex problems to find effective solutions
  • High degree of autonomy, strategic thinking, and sound judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Fluent in English

Nice to Have

  • Experience in drug discovery or the pharmaceutical industry
  • PhD in a related field (molecular biology, computational biology)
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML methods in predictive modeling (in any domain)
  • Experience in client-facing roles within biotech or B2B environments
  • Proficiency with project management tools for documentation, tracking, and reporting
  • Experience defining roadmaps and writing technical specifications
  • Familiarity with quality assurance and quality control processes
