UserTesting
We’re UserTesting, a leader in experience research and insights; we believe the path to human understanding and great experiences start with a shared understanding—seeing and hearing how another person engages with the world around them and taking in their perspective. Working at UserTesting, you will be empowered to help organizations discover the human side of business–transforming how they work, collaborate, innovate, and bring new products and experiences to market. This is what inspires us, and it’s how we enable companies to connect with their audiences naturally and organically through an experience that is uniquely, and intentionally human.

Joining our team means being part of a passionate group focused on transforming how companies learn from and understand their customers. Come join us and help us build the engine for human understanding.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Product Design Intern to join our Design Systems team for a hands-on, real-world internship. You’ll work at the intersection of product design and front-end development to help maintain and evolve our internal design system. From designing UI components to supporting consistency and accessibility across the product, this is a great opportunity to grow your skills and make a meaningful impact.
The Team
You’ll join a cross-disciplinary group of writers, designers, and researchers working alongside engineers, data scientists, and product managers. Our Design Systems team focuses on ensuring consistency, usability, and accessibility across our platform. We’re globally distributed—with team members in cities like Vancouver, Edinburgh, London, Barcelona, and Paris—and connected through a collaborative culture that’s kind, inclusive, and user-centred. Whether remote or in-office, we support each other in doing our best, most authentic work.
What We’re Looking For
We don’t expect you to have it all—but if some of this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
Interest in product or interface design (personal projects or coursework are welcome)
Familiarity with Figma or other design tools like Sketch, Adobe XD, or Framer
A passion for learning about design systems and scalable design practices
Strong attention to detail and curiosity about how things work
Kind, open collaborator who values feedback and continuous learning
Sample work or portfolio showcasing interest in systems thinking, UI, or interaction design
Clear written and spoken communication in English
Bonus, but not required:
Experience with Figma component libraries
Awareness of accessibility standards (like WCAG)
Exposure to HTML/CSS or design-to-code practices
Experience writing or organizing design documentation
Don’t meet every single requirement but excited about the role?
We encourage you to apply! Research shows that some groups are less likely to apply unless they meet 100% of the criteria—but you might be exactly who we’re looking for. Diverse perspectives drive innovation, and we’re committed to building a team that reflects a variety of backgrounds, skills, and experiences.
