Information about the position

We’re searching for an in-house Competition Counsel to work on competition compliance matters with a successful experience in the competition law field to join our Compliance team. As part of Vinted’s Legal & Compliance team, you’ll be providing focused and practical advice on the implementation and impact of global competition laws to business and product teams. You would be responsible for early involvement, support and alignment within the Legal & Compliance Team and business on compliance roadmaps and risk assessments.

You’ll be a part of the Compliance Team and report to our Senior Director of Risk management, Compliance and Group Privacy Officer. We’re looking for a team player, someone with strong communication and project management skills, and a firm commitment to finding big-picture solutions. For the right candidate, this will be both a challenging and rewarding role.

This position is a maternity cover for 12 months, with the possibility to renew for 12 additional months.

In this position, you’ll

  • Manage specific competition and antitrust compliance matters at Vinted Group
  • Work closely with business teams (such as Product, PR, Corporate development and other teams, including Legal Team), to identify and address relevant competition risks
  • Advise management stakeholders on competition compliance risks
  • Work with and coordinate outsourced legal counsels in all of our jurisdictions
  • Closely collaborate with Competition authorities in Europe by responding to their various requests
  • Raise awareness about competition compliance culture (e.g. training, guidelines, etc.) in order to facilitate competition compliance across the whole Vinted Group

About you

  • A lawyer with 4+ years of experience in a law firm working with competition law matters and/or as an in-house competition counsel and/or any European competition authority;
  • Experience in managing multiple high priority projects simultaneously
  • Experience in dealing with authorities (requests for information, etc)
  • Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English
  • Experience in tech sector would be a strong plus
  • The skills, willingness, and initiative to own legal issues across many different jurisdictions
  • Proactivity and attention to detail
  • Ability to find creative and business-friendly solutions in difficult situations
  • Passionate about technology-driven businesses
