We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join one of our Product Engineering teams within the Trust and Safety domain, more specifically, the one which monitors the quality of items getting uploaded and ensuring no harmful ones slip through. Your main responsibility will be the technical excellence of the associated codebase, people leadership and delivery management. And, of course, making sure your team contributes to our company vision of making second-hand fashion first choice.

In this position, you'll be accountable for:

  • Results of a team (delivery management and quality of engineering)
  • Processes and procedures in a team (working in the right ways on the right things)
  • People in the team (ensuring that we have great people working in true harmony)

And you will:

  • Lead the team who shapes and enables the detection of harmful content
  • Drive the implementation of technical strategy within the team
  • Ensure team’s deliveries and KRs are achieved
  • Focus on the professional and personal growth of your team, including conducting performance and compensation reviews
  • Collaborate closely with other Engineering leads to bring continuous improvements and action on engineering strategy
  • Apply Agile and Lean principles in your work and ensure the team has a set of processes that enables them to be effective
  • Build and maintain a cohesive team that shares mutual trust, healthy conflict resolution, commitment, accountability, and focus on results

About you

  • Proven experience leading a software engineering team and delivering the outcomes
  • Know how to make teams effective, manage scopes and deliverables
  • Have experience building team & hiring new team members
  • You possess strong people management skills - have experience ensuring development of team members
  • Solid proficiency in communicating with both technical and management levels
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
  • Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English

The salary range for this position is 6,200 - € 8,383 gross per month.
