Information about the position

As an Analytics Engineer in Vinted Go, you will become a part of a centralised team of 7 Analytics Engineers and will work in an embedded mode alongside one other Analytics Engineer in the OpsTech Domain’s Intelligence team.

The OpsTech domain at Vinted Go is developing tech solutions for our own logistics operations. Your work will impact the real world, improving how millions of parcels get delivered. However, it's not just about moving boxes; it's about helping Vinted users lead more sustainable lives. You’ll be part of the OpsTech Intelligence team, a group of data professionals who turn raw numbers into smarter ways of doing things.

Within Data Science & Analytics (DSA) we have three distinct roles. We believe that each role can make a similarly sized business impact in different ways and therefore our salary ranges are the same for all three roles. To understand your role within DSA context better, here are brief descriptions of each role we have in the department:

  • Analytics Engineers are responsible for data curation – translating data needs from stakeholders into architecting, building and maintaining efficient & reliable data models and pipelines.
  • Decision Scientists are responsible for actionable insights, identifying and sizing opportunities, and automated tools that increase the quality of product and business decisions by applying statistical methods and data-driven decision making.
  • Data Scientists are responsible for identification of algorithmic opportunities, ensuring those opportunities are addressed in an optimal fashion and design, development and maintenance of production-grade statistical and machine learning algorithms.

In this position, you’ll

  • Build and maintain efficient & reliable data models for both external and internal data, in partnership with data and platform engineering teams
  • Continuously collaborate with data and business stakeholders within the company to collect data needs and translate these into functioning pipelines and data models
  • Ensure our colleagues can optimally use the data models by monitoring performance and driving optimisation, creating documentation, and adopting best practices
  • Perform root cause analysis in case of issues in data pipelines, generation or processing stages
  • Participate in Vinted Go Analytics Engineering rituals
  • Contribute to other company-wide analytics engineering projects and initiatives

About you

  • Experience in a data role, preferably as as an Analytics Engineer, ETL Developer, Data Analyst/Scientist, Data Engineer, or similar.
  • Experience with SQL, and familiarity with a programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala)
  • Familiarity with data modelling frameworks are a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships with various teams across the business and translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Advantage: Working experience in a cloud environment, such as Google Cloud Platform

The salary range for this position is 2,417 - €4,292 gross per month.
