Information about the position

We’re seeking an Engineering Manager to join and lead the Information Security Engineering team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing and guiding an engineering team, fostering a healthy and efficient work environment. Engineering Manager contributes to the collective strength and long-term success of the team by ensuring successful execution of planned deliverables, professional development and growth of the team members.

In this position, you’ll

Delivery management

  • Establishing the team vision and setting scope, priorities, goals, and deliverable timelines.
  • Maintaining effective communication and management of expectations with stakeholders and team members to provide regular updates on progress, plans and problems, ensuring everyone is well-informed, aligned, and working towards common goals.
  • Considers the skills and availability of team members to ensure optimal utilisation and efficiency.

People

  • Ensuring a healthy team's well-being and engagement.
  • Fostering continuous learning and personal growth of team members.
  • Identifying the staffing needs within the team and taking ownership of the hiring process.
  • Constructively addressing behaviour not in line with company values and taking action to address the root cause of the problem.

Team processes

  • Ensuring consistent and sustainable team deliveries using the process which fits best with the team's context, requirements, and specific demands.
  • Continuously evaluating and seeking to improve teamwork, efficiency, productivity, and quality.

Quality of Engineering

  • Implementing and maintaining Quality Assurance processes to ensure that deliverables meet the required standards, specifications, and user expectations.
  • Establishing SLIs and SLOs to monitor and assess the performance and reliability of services.
  • Ensure a timely response to incidents, clear communication, post-mortem analysis, and apply findings for continuous process improvement and team guidance.

About you

  • Have proven experience building and leading technical teams, with a track record of successful results.
  • Have a solid understanding of security concepts and tooling.
  • Able to advocate technical initiatives - identify objectives and make impactful plans to reach them.
  • Know how to manage stakeholders, scope, priorities, and deliverables effectively.
  • Possess the courage to address uncomfortable situations and reach constructive outcomes.
  • Able to fluently communicate in English, understand and explain complex engineering and security concepts to non-engineering people.

The salary range for this position is 6,308 - €8,533 gross per month.
