Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Professional (P4) to join the Workspace ONE Launcher engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing Workspace ONE Launcher, a critical Android enterprise application used by organizations worldwide to deliver secure and customized device experiences.

As a P4 engineer, you will be expected to independently drive feature development, troubleshoot complex customer issues, collaborate across teams, and contribute to the technical direction of the product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain features for Workspace ONE Launcher on Android platforms.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
  • Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code using modern Android development practices.
  • Investigate, reproduce, and resolve complex customer-reported issues.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, QA, UX, and platform teams to deliver product enhancements.
  • Optimize application performance, stability, security, and reliability.
  • Review code, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, design documents, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with Workspace ONE UEM and platform teams to ensure seamless product integration.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8–10 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience in Android application development using Java and Kotlin.
  • Deep understanding of Android framework components, activities, services, broadcasts, and device administration concepts.
  • Experience with Android Enterprise, kiosk mode, device management, or enterprise mobility solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and clean coding principles.
  • Experience debugging complex issues using Android Studio, Logcat, ADB, and profiling tools.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and mobile application security concepts.
  • Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise mobility management (EMM/UEM) solutions.
  • Knowledge of Android Enterprise APIs, Managed Configurations, and OEM-specific integrations.
  • Experience developing launcher, kiosk, or system-level and other Android applications
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Espresso, JUnit, and Roboeletric, and Mockito,
  • Exposure to cloud-based management platforms and SaaS products.
  • Experience contributing to architectural improvements and technical leadership initiatives.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar) to improve engineering productivity and code quality.
  • Ability to effectively use AI tools for code generation, debugging, test case creation, documentation, and root-cause analysis.
  • Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and responsible AI usage in software development workflows.
  • Experience evaluating AI-generated code for security, performance, maintainability, and compliance with engineering standards.
