The Challenge 🧩

At Wallapop, we care deeply about our customers and obsess over creating value for them. Your mission in this role is to take our Direct Sales to the next level by owning and cultivating strong, durable relationships with the top 5-10 agencies and key brands in Spain (Madrid and Barcelona), leveraging your insider knowledge to unlock new opportunities. By collaborating with the wider advertising team, you will drive incremental activity and evolve our strategy alongside shifting market needs (e.g., Programmatic).

What You Will Do 👇

  • Report directly to the Head of Advertising to set targets, execute the sales strategy, and provide regular performance updates on progress.
  • Develop and implement a Direct Sales approach to build optimal relationships with target agencies and brands, converting them into long-term partners.
  • Build convincing performance case studies and organize roadshows that position Wallapop as a premium destination for top-tier brands.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Direct Sales, aligning work processes to achieve high-performance campaigns and meet established revenue targets.
  • Lead sales improvement initiatives to increase effectiveness and strengthen our sales methodologies and processes.

What We’re Looking For 🔎

  • A proven track record in digital and programmatic sales, with a deep understanding of the Spanish advertising market and ecosystem.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. You are a natural at building trust and nurturing long-term relationships with external partners.
  • The ability to make decisions that involve multiple stakeholders (Wallapop users, brands, agencies, internal teams) while demonstrating clear customer centricity.
  • Strong customer service skills with a genuine drive to solve problems and create value for your clients.
  • A native standard of spoken and written Spanish is a must.

This is a Madrid-based role, with regular travel to Barcelona for meetings with customers and teammates.

What does the hiring process for this position look like? 👀**Please, note that all interviews take place remotely over hangouts.**

  1. Intro Call - run by talent acquisition, focus on providing more information about the role and the company as well as going over your experience, motivation, and expectations. This usually takes 45-60 minutes.
  2. Case Study Submission - you will be assigned a task to submit within 5 up to 7 days where you will be able to showcase your expertise / technical skills required for the role.
  3. Expertise Interview - run by the hiring team, focused on the required core skills and the ability to deliver in a given context. This usually takes 60-90 minutes.
  4. Stakeholder Interview - run by relevant stakeholders reflecting the reality of the context of the role, focus on the ability to collaborate & deliver in a cross-functional set-up. This usually takes 60 minutes.
  5. Culture Interview - run by culture interviewers, focus on adherence to Wallapop's purpose and business proposition. This usually takes 60 minutes.
  6. Offer - should you be the right candidate, your offer will be discussed over a call with talent acquisition and will then be confirmed in writing.
