  • The cash compensation for this role is tailored to align with the cost of labor in different geographic markets. We've structured the base pay ranges for this role into zones for our geographic markets, and the specific base pay within the range will be determined by the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.

  • Reporting to the Director of Global Payroll

As a U.S. Payroll Manager, you will …

  • [15%] Implement a prompt and efficient global payroll cycle process, including but not limited to base pay, variable pay, commissions, equity transactions, payroll taxes, 401k, statutory and supplemental benefits, etc. for both the US, and any off-cycle payroll runs.
  • [20%] Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for payroll, including recording journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and recording accruals for areas such as PTO, Payroll taxes, variable compensation, payroll benefits, and more.
  • [10%] Develop and manage key policies and procedures for U.S. payroll processing.
  • [10%] Collaborate with the People team to ensure accuracy on payments such as 401(k), commuter benefits, taxable perks, HRA, H.S.A. and FSA, etc.
  • [20%] Actively manage ADP payroll systems and file feeds (Workday, Fidelity). Respond to payroll inquiries.
  • [10%] Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions, and terminations are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulations.
  • [15%] Cultivate working relationships with key business partners, third-party providers, and other teams at Webflow to resolve issues, and improve the overall efficiency of our processes and systems.

About you

You’ll thrive as a U.S. Payroll Manager if you:

  • Have a sense of urgency along with experience or understanding of key payroll processes such as workflows, and multi-state taxation.
  • Have helped scale a company’s U.S. payroll by improving processes and workflows
  • Can communicate and cultivate a working relationship with internal and external stakeholders and business partners
  • Collaborate well as a team member and work autonomously as conflicts and challenges arise
  • Understand the accounting behind the payroll and able to post activity to the ERP system.
  • Have experience with Excel and can automate accounting workbooks using formulas. Knowledge of pivot tables and vlookups.
  • Have experience using various payroll systems (ADP, Workday, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Experience with payroll accounting
  • Experience with process automation and data bridges
