Role Description

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to spearhead our US market expansion initiatives. This is a transformational leadership role designed to unlock unprecedented growth opportunities by revolutionizing payment solutions for US-based multinational corporations operating or planning to expand their operations in India by selling to Indian customers. You will be the architect of our US go-to-market strategy, building strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth in this critical market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Market Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate the US market and drive PayU’s growth among US MNCs / merchants
  • Revenue Generation: Own and exceed ambitious sales targets by identifying, pursuing, and closing high-value enterprise deals with US corporations
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain executive-level relationships with C-suite leaders, decision-makers, and key stakeholders at Fortune 500 companies
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct deep market analysis to identify emerging opportunities, competitive landscapes, and strategic partnerships in the US payments ecosystem
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, legal, and compliance teams to ensure seamless delivery of payment solutions tailored to US market needs
  • Thought Leadership: Represent PayU at industry conferences, events, and forums to establish market presence and brand authority
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and establish strategic alliances with key players in the US financial services ecosystem including payment service providers, banks, processors, and technology partners like orchestration platforms
  • Solution Consulting: Work closely with prospects to understand their payment challenges and architect customized solutions that drive business value when collecting payments from Indian customers
  • Market Entry Strategy: Pioneer new market segments and verticals while developing scalable sales processes and methodologies

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership in payments/fintech/financial services, with a record of scaling new businesses and driving enterprise B2B revenue growth
  • Proven success in C-level stakeholder management and complex enterprise sales cycles ($1M+), with exceptional executive communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Deep expertise in the US payments ecosystem (Visa, Mastercard, ACH, wires) and emerging payment technologies
  • Cross-border payments expertise and emerging-markets business development; strong command of international banking regulations and compliance standards (PCI DSS, EMVco)
  • Technical aptitude to understand complex payment infrastructure and integration requirements; experience with SaaS, API-first, and platform-based business models
  • Experience working with multinational corporations and navigating operational complexities
  • Established network within Fortune 500 and the US financial services ecosystem
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset; thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or payments-domain experience
