About the role

As the Manager of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) at Wonder, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.

The experience you have

- Bachelor’s degree in an EHS related field preferred; advanced degree or professional certification desirable

- Minimum of 5 years of EHS related experience in manufacturing.

- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.

- Ability to build and sustain good working relationships and work effectively in a team environment

The way you work

Lead and direct the Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security functions within the organization including;

Compliance Management:

- Monitor and ensure adherence to all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations at local, state, and federal levels.

- Conduct regular compliance audits to identify potential issues and non-compliance risks.

- Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to company policies.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

- Perform job hazard analyses to identify potential workplace hazards and develop preventive measures.

- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate control strategies to minimize safety risks.

- Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.

Safety Training and Education:

- Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for all employees, including new hires, on topics like hazard recognition, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.

- Promote a safety culture through awareness campaigns, communication, and employee engagement initiatives.

Emergency Response:

- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.

- Lead emergency response teams during incidents, coordinating necessary actions and communication.

- Conduct regular emergency drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Track safety performance metrics (e.g., incident rates, near misses) to identify trends and areas for improvement.

- Generate reports on EHS performance to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

- Maintain accurate injury-illness records and ensure documentation meets corporate and OSHA guidelines.

Contractor Management:

- Oversee the safety performance of contractors working on-site, ensuring they comply with company with Wonder Contractor Safety Program requirements.

Environmental Stewardship:

- Monitor and manage environmental impacts of company operations, including waste disposal, emissions, and resource consumption.

- Develop and implement environmental sustainability initiatives.

Base Salary: $122,000
