Job Description

This position will be responsible for scheduling and managing production work flow and coordinating manufacturing activities to support efficient and high-quality schedules. Main responsibilities include aligning the manifest with Internal Master Schedule (IMS) to include data from Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will work with the production team to ensure that the engineers and operators have clear visibility to product demand and the resources they need to achieve full design development and production goals while maintaining our backlog report. Lead daily production meetings with a cross-functional team including Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, PM, and Sales departments.

Role Responsibilities

  • Maintains IMS in Fast Project
  • Plans production based on Flight Manifest, prioritizes workflow, and keeps the team up to date with any changes
  • Opens work orders and engineering designs
  • Reviews material availability
  • Monitors labor and material charged to production orders
  • Reviews cost incurred to orders before closing them
  • Maintains the Manufacturing Backlog
  • Works closely with BD, Sales, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing departments to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintains accountability for on-time delivery and profitability
  • Create a valid Master Schedule in which priority due dates are equal to need dates and planned capacity equals required capacity

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a Planner in a Manufacturing/production environment with at least 1 year in a Master Scheduler role
  • Experienced with resource planning platforms and ERP systems
  • Fluent in Microsoft Excel (Microsoft Project and Jira are a plus)
  • Efficient communicator
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Sound business judgment
  • Analytical skills
